Hebrew (עִבְרִית)

Hebrew is one of the three official languages of Israel (alongside Arabic and English), and is spoken by some 4.8 million people in that country. There area about 300,000 speakers of Hebrew in other countries including the US, the UK, Australia, Germany, Canada, and the Palestinian West Bank and Gaza. It is unique among the world's languages in constituting the only successful attempt to revive a dead language.
