Intensive Summer Albanian in Tirana

CLI's 4-week summer program in Tirana helps students extend and solidify the language and culture skills they develop during intensive Albanian classes on the ASU campus.
The Tirana program offers Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced Mastery instruction.
Students in all levels share a common set of activities and excursions.
Students receive 3 ASU credits at the 400 level (SLC 494) for successfully completing the program.
Since the Tirana program is small, instructors provide a great deal of individual attention and staff are able to tailor the program to students' needs.
This program is open only to students who complete one of the 7-week courses below.
Classes meet 3 hours a day on weekdays. Students enjoy regular cultural activities and excursions, with weekend trips out of town.
Books and materials are the same as those for CLI's courses in Elementary Albanian, Intermediate Albanian, and Advanced Mastery Albanian.
Students live in a pension or share a private apartment. Breakfast is provided. Participants purchase lunch and dinner in local restaurants and cafes.
A 30-minute taxi ride to the Adriatic beaches of historic Durres and a short cable-car ride to the pine forests of the Dajti mountains, Tirana is Albania's administrative, cultural, economic, and industrial center. Tirana is a vibrant, youthful Mediterranean city, with a thriving cafe- and night life.
