Intensive Summer Hebrew in Tel Aviv

About the Program: 

CLI's 4-week summer program in Tel Aviv helps students extend and solidify the language and culture skills they develop during intensive Elementary Modern Hebrew classes on the ASU campus.

Students receive 3 ASU credits at the 400 level (SLC 494) for successfully completing the program.

Eligibility: 

This program is open only to students who first complete Intensive Elementary Modern Hebrew.

Dates: 
Mon, 07/23/2012 - Fri, 08/17/2012
Schedule: 

Classes meet 3 hours a day, Sunday through Thursday. Students enjoy a wide range of regular cultural activities and excursions, with longer trips scheduled for weekends. For details, see the 2012 activities schedule.

Materials: 

Books and materials are the same as those for the Elementary Modern Hebrew.

Housing and Meals: 

Students live in Tel Aviv University student housing. Students purchase their own meals and have access to the University cafeteria, as well as local cafes and restaurants.

Cost: 

The 2012 Tel Aviv summer study-abroad fee is estimated at $2,700 (subject to change). This fee covers:

  • local travel: round-trip travel from airport to university
  • instruction
  • housing
  • excursions and cultural events (including transportation, tickets and entry fees)
  • insurance

It does not include:

  • meals
  • personal expenses
  • airfare: round-trip travel to Israel
