CLI Housing Options, 2012

CAMPUS HOUSING
CLI offers housing in centrally located McClintock Hall and will make every effort to house students studying the same language together.
Centrally located between instructor offices and classrooms, McClintock is center of CLI life, the place where language club meetings and the majority of co-curricular activities are held.
McClintock Hall provides easy access to classrooms in the Languages and Literatures Building (2 minutes' walk) and the instructor offices in Coor Hall (across the street). A range of dining options is available in Memorial Union (4 minutes) or on Tempe's main street, Mill Avenue (5-10 minutes).
McClintock offers double-occupancy suite-style units for $15.50/day (roughly $800 for 7 weeks) or single-occupancy units for $30.75/day (roughly $1,500 for 7 weeks). This price includes utilities, internet, basic cable, and a microwave oven/mini-refrigerator. There is a $20 additional charge for bed linens (or you may bring your own).
McClintock Hall has a kitchen, but it is shared among all residents of the hall and the CLI language clubs, so participants should not rely it for their meals.
Card-operated laundry facilities are available on site.
Other amenities include:
- remodeled lounge
- barbecue pits, billiard table, volleyball court, etc.
- management office on site
- key card access
- bicycle storage (key-card access)
CAMPUS DINING
CLI participants may eat on campus or may make their own meal arrangements. ASU offers 2 on-campus options: The Barrett Hall Cafeteria or the food court in the student union. (See Memorial Union Businesses Map for details on food-court options.)
The Food Court and dining hall are both pay as you go. Participants may purchase pre-paid meal cards good at either location (and many other sites on campus). Food Court rates vary by location. 2012 Dining Hall rates are not yet available, but are expected to be similar to 2011 rates.
2011 rates were:
breakfast (M-F) $7.09 lunch (M-F) $8.72 dinner (daily) $9.82 brunch (SS) $8.72
All prices cited on this page subject to change. Participants are responsible for checking current prices before signing housing or meal contracts.
