CLI Program Cost Estimates, Summer 2010

FEES
Tuition is waived on all CLI courses, including all programs abroad. However, the following fees apply:

- ASU application fee: $50-$65
- CLI participants who are not ASU students must apply for non-degree-seeking student status at ASU. There is an application fee of $50 (AZ residents) or $65 (others) at the time of application.
- CLI fee: $650
- ASU charges a non-refundable CLI fee of $650 to each 8-week CLI student, assessed when the student registers for his or her CLI class.
- Study-Abroad fees (students traveling overseas only)

- There are a number of other fees that may affect some students. Examples include:

ESTIMATED COST OF ATTENDING CLI COURSES ON ASU MAIN CAMPUS
- Lower limit: $800
- An ASU student living at home rent free and with meals provided who pays the CLI fee ($650) and buys books ($150).

Upper Limit: $4,690

An out of state student who flies to Phoenix ($300), lives in a dorm (roughly $2000), buys a full meal plan ($1,500), pays the CLI fee ($650), buys books ($150), pays the ASU application fee ($65), and needs an ASU ID card for dorm access ($25).

In 2009, the average cost of attending CLI was roughly $2,700 for ASU students and roughly $3,500 for non-CLI students, including room, board, and travel.
ESTIMATED COST OF ATTENDING CLI COURSES IN RUSSIA
The Kazan summer 8-week study-abroad program fee is $3,461.
The program fee covers instruction, housing, excursions, insurance and transportation. Not included are: lunches, books, air fare, visa fees, and personal expenses.
