Intensive Intermediate Persian (Dari, Farsi, Tajik)
This course picks up where CLI Elementary Persian leaves off. Students complete their study of Tajik grammar and intensify their study of Farsi. Students are expected by the end of the course to be roughly equally familiar with the two dialects. The emphasis on communicative competency is maintained, with students expected to reach a proficiency level of ILR 2 in reading and comprehension of both Farsi and Tajik, a level of 1+ in speaking and in writing Tajik, and a level of 1 in writing Farsi.
Students who complete this course should be familiar with all of the three major Persian dialects and prepared to specialize in any one of them.
