Intensive Intermediate Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian

About this course: 

The intermediate course in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian is a continuation of the elementary course and is intended to enhance overall communicative competence in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian. The main goal of the course is to develop listening, reading, conversational, and compositional skills. Students learn to read, analyse and reproduce complex texts on different subject matters. Students learn to use the Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian language correctly in everyday situations and to speak and read about everyday and somewhat more abstract topics. In particular, students will improve their ability to comprehend and exchange ideas with native speakers. They are introduced to basic distinctions between functional styles of the Standard Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian language.

About the instructor: 
Marin Zekić

Marin Zekić is a native Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian originally from Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has a PhD in Humanities from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland, where he is an Assistant Professor in the Slavic Department teaching Serbian, Croatian, South Slavic Literatures, Comparative Grammar of the Slavic Languages, and South Slavic Civilization. Marin has taught in the CLI since 2006.
